О фильме:
Садовник, вся жизнь которого прошла в уходе за садом и телевизором, оказывается без работы, поскольку его прежний хозяин умер, а новые хозяева выставляют его на улицу. Зная внешний мир только по программам телевидения и общению с чернокожей кухаркой, он делает первые неуверенные шаги в незнакомом для него мире. Выставленный на улицу он попадает под колеса автомобиля богатой дамы, которая привозит его домой, чтобы показать врачу. Её муж заинтересовался незнакомцем. А дальше разворачивается невероятная история восхождения простого садовника до уровня советника президента США.…
